Transfer Admission Guarantees (TAGs) - Transfer Center
Transfer students have an opportunity to secure a seat at a specific college or university prior to the regular admission application period through the Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) program. By signing a TAG agreement and meeting TAG requirements, admission to your chosen university is granted.
The TAG agreement should be prepared approximately one year before transfer but course planning to meet its requirements begins earlier than that. Follow the steps below to ensure acceptance and a smooth transfer to your chosen college or university.
Preparing for a TAG
Follow these steps:
- Attend a TAG Workshop to learn more TAGs and its requirements.
- Meet with a counselor to plan appropriate coursework for TAG eligibility.
- Review Colleges Offering TAGs for Ohlone Students and complete the TAG agreement/application during the appropriate filing period, by its specified deadline, and with an Ohlone counselor (if required).
- Keep a record of the TAG agreement/application; complete the course work in the educational plan that accompanies the agreement; at minimum, maintain the GPA specified in the plan.
- Don’t forget to still apply for admission to the university during the priority filing period.
